"Artists' gardens" family workshop

6 September, 19:00 - 20:30

The Museum of Russian impressionism invites children aged from 5 to 10 years and their parents to join our new family program. "Artists' gardens" is a 3-in-1 workshop that includes a guided tour, a quest and a gardening workshop.

French impressionist Claude Monet wrote that flowers had inspired him to become an artist. Camille Pissarro loved painting gardens because it reminded him of his childhood. Pierre Auguste Renoir found wild, overgrown gardens romantic. Pyotr Konchalovsky whose painting "Various flowers" can be seen in our collection adored his botanic garden full of exotic plants at his dacha in Bugry. The art of impressionists is closely related to nature. During the workshop our guides will show you the gardens of famous artists and floral still lifes from our permanent exposition. Then, after completing the tasks of our quest, the group will take part in our gardening workshop. Each will return home with a potted flower.

Groups up to 12 people. Duration: 1,5 — 2 hours.
